Rowan Curve bodysuit and tee pattern
Rowan is the ultimate wardrobe builder - a fitted tee and bodysuit with a figure-hugging close fit. It came out of my desperate need for fitted tops that stay perfectly tucked into high-waisted skirts and pants, and I spent a lot of time perfecting the fit around the rear and crotch so the bodysuit is comfortable and doesn't ride up. Choose a crew neck, V neck or modern turtleneck, short, 3/4 or long sleeves, and tee or bodysuit length, in a knit with at least 40% stretch.

I had a really fun experience making up this pattern. I used a burn out black velvet fabric. I used size 16 for the bust area and graded to an 18. The fit is great. I am very happy with the pattern instructions and outcome of the finished garment. My daughter didn’t want elastic in the legs. It fits nice and snug.
It was an easy sew and fits well with just grading for sizes. I did add 1" length to the sleeves and instead of sewing the turtle neck band on as recommended, I sewed one side and then hand sewed down the inside encasing the seams so that there was no seam/edge against the neck. Also, I didn't have a twin needle so I just hand stretch stitched the sleeve hems. All of the rest of the instructions worked well. I used a 10% spandex poly. I made the turtleneck bodysuit and will make a second one.

Make its size range more inclusive! I have always loved the Rowan. Everything about it is perfect for me. Booty covering bodysuit? Check! Turtleneck? Check! Multiple sleeve options? Check! Shirt option? Check! Haven’t tried the v-neck yet, but the other views are great so I’m expecting the same.
Rowan Curve is great. Made 2, now i need to wear them to see if i feel as great in them as at the first try. Pattern is great, i like the notches (which i never thought i would say), it is straight forward and sews beautifuly. It fullfilled all the subjective wishes at once: shoulders fit, sleeve length is perfect, length of the tee version is amazing. All in all: amazing!
Bought this pattern to make a nice fitted long sleeve top to wear under my workuniform. Used a nice black modal.
