Opal Curve pants & shorts pattern

I so love these pants! I've made two pairs so far and I have about 6 more pairs i'm just itching to make. I made my favourite pair out of thin cotton and I just love how light and airy they feel on. I've been wearing them pretty much nonstop. And they have POCKETS! :D Having pockets makes me unreasonably giddy. Thanks!

Loving these paperbag waistband pants I made. Super easy pattern with sizes up to 30. Although next time I will probably do a petite adjustment in addition to tapering the legs a bit more. I used a printed canvas fabric by Rifle Paper Co and have already gotten a ton of compliments. I tagged you on Facebook if you want to see a picture.

I put together my first pair of the Opal shorts this weekend and it was so straightforward and a really quick make. They're really comfy and a great fit for me - I made a 14 (W81cm H105cm 172cm tall) with no mods apart from doing french seams on the insides to stop the linen from fraying. Keen to try the pants version next! The only change I would make is widening the patch pocket - as is it doesnt fit my phone.

I was a tester for this pattern and let me tell you I love this pattern. I have 4 makes - 2 pairs of pants and 2 pairs of shorts. The paperbag waistband is my favorite version because it is so comfortable. On view B you may want to go down a size because of the generous amount of ease built into the pattern. The instructions are extremely detailed and I had no problem sewing this pattern.

I am very pleased with my purchase of Opal Curve pants and shorts pattern. I chose to make the tapered leg pants with the front patch pockets. Although I am not done making the pants, I can say that the pattern is very well written, easy to follow and easy to understand. The pattern is also written in such a way that the maker is able to apply several variations. I'm excited to wear my pants as soon as I finish them!

I'm french and I don't speak English very well. The pattern is really awesome. Simple and easy to sew. I love it ! I sewed two pants for our honeymoon in London.
The only problem is, in my opinion, the part between the legs, which goes from the front to the back (from the pubis to the bottom) was too big and I had to make it smaller. I am so happy to know your patterns and I will carry on buying some of them!

What a terrific pattern! I’ve made up the wide leg version in linen; they’re stylish and comfy. Will definitely be making some other versions too. The instructions are clear and the blog sewalong posts are a great source of additional information.

Great fit and easy to follow instructions. Have made 3 pair of shorts and working on the 4th. The modular pattern allows simple adjustments to have a different pair each time you construct.

I made a pair of linen pants from this pattern, I had to make a few adjustments, the size runs quite large and I had to cut a lot off the bottom and the waist. If I was to make it again, would make a size smaller and also the straight leg version, there is a lot of fabric in this. Good instructions and overall happy with the outcome.
