Flint Curve pants and shorts pattern

I love this pattern. The instructions are great and this pant is an easy sew. I have made 2 pair so far. I went down a size on the second pair.

I purchsed this pattern quite a few years ago now, and it is my GO TO pant/shorts pattern. I've made it about 5-6 times at least. I've got 3 pairs of shorts - 1 in a lightweight chambray, 1 in a mid-weight black & white striped woven, & 1 in a mid-weight cotton knit - I've made casul linen pants and a more formal pair for a wedding in a beautiful floral heavy silk. I also made some "house" /lounging pairs in a cotton knit and a stretchy fleece. The stretchy fabric versions are even easier, as I just don't bother with the side opening at all. I just sew is closed and add elastic inside. It works great! The only other mod I've done is to remove the front pleat and make them flat front. They fit better than any store bought pant! I'm a plus sized curvy gal so it's not always easy to find super cute pants that fit well. Now that I've made it a few times, I can knock out a pair quickly and know it's going to fit great. I plan to make some more shorts in loud fun fabric and will try to modify the hem to make it a scalop hem. Again, I am totally pleased with this pattern. It's well written with clear directions and additional contect online for different modifications. All the Megan Nielsen patterns I've used have been a delight. It's nice to have well drafted patterns that I don't have to fight!

Not what I was expecting. I did not expect such a generous fit, it is far too loose s fit for me. Managed to download OK.

I really like this pattern - the unusual side closure is so cleverly designed and allows for a bit of leeway in the fit, which is handy for body fluctuation. The instructions are clear and easy to understand. Since buying the pattern a couple of weeks ago, I've made two pairs of shorts already and am excited to make some pants next!

I had been looking for wide legged trousers that would fit over my belly and hips without having to grade through 2 or 3 sizes from the waist and these are perfect! I cut a straight size and they fit really well! Only a couple of tweaks needed for my shape instead of grading between multiple sizes. They are some of my favorite trousers, I have made trousers and 3/4 length ones and will be making the shorts this week!
