Tania Curve culottes pattern
Modern take on culottes combining the practicality of shorts with the appearance of a skirt. Pattern features a fitted waistband, deep pockets, wonderful drape, invisible side seam zipper and hidden centre front and back pleats to create the illusion of a skirt.
View A is short with a full skirt. View B is a knee length with full skirt. View C is midi length with less fullness. View D is knee length with less fullness.

I enjoy the blend of skirt and shorts. I live in Australia so these culottes are cool and breazy. I made the knee length, less full and found them super comfortable. The instructions are top notch!
The patterns for these culottes is great - very size inclusive, the directions are clear, and the fabric lays wonderfully once constructed. I personally needed a taller center front seam for my lower belly, but it was very easy to just add 2" and now they fit perfectly!
I love the pattern.
One „skirt“ is done. And one more will follow this summer <3
On second pair I modified the pocket from how Megan drafted it (sorry Meg!) and made it lay perfectly flat againt the body, and gave it a baby rolled hem which took all the work out of hemming. Probably 5 mins flat!
Other hacks was cutting Culottes, then sewing the CF and CB pleats so pattern matching would not get askew, and then hanging for 2 days without sewing any other seams so that they would still lay flat to check the hem line against the original pattern. Made it easy peasy and a much quicker sew, no complications or fustrations.
Will be making more - Bye bye normal skirts! Hello, Culottes....
Love that there is no more summer chuffing on the thighs, forgetting your slip, or circle skirts blowing up around your head.
The Tania Culottes are beautiful and very practical, pattern was easy to follow, and the curve sizes make it useful for all us girls in the family.
