To overcome years of avoiding sewing knits after a mangled, unmanageable experience several years ago, I took a local class, where the first project used this pattern. Underwhelmed at the prospect of making underwear but motivated to tackle my fears, I finished a pair with the fabric bands and was immediately impressed - not by my own ability and completion of the project, but by the fit and comfort of this thing I never knew I needed. I have since made 6 more pairs and have just ventured into the mini acacia realm for my daughter. I LOVE them! And a huge bonus that 1/2 yard of fabric makes 2 complete pairs in my size with jersey bands with almost no waste. Perfect, all around.
I'm so happy with this free pattern. It is easy to make and the fit is perfect. I have made 4 panties, each with different stretch fabrics and all came out well. I can only get black and white elastic.
Saved me from my too small high-waisted undies in my second trimester of pregnancy. The Video is super clear. They fit wonderfully on my behind. I already made 4 pairs!
First try and I made my first handmade underwear! Thank you for the pattern! It's clear and easy to understand. I have ordered some supplies to make more.
This is the third underwear pattern I tried. It is the first one that doesn't feel like a wedgie waiting to happen. I love that I have a practical way to use my knit scraps. Hooray for Acacia!
