Pockets! Who doesn't love pockets. Big enough for your cell phone and everything!

    Fun and fast

After admiring my daughter’s three Brumbys, I had to join in on this fast and fun make. I enjoyed pattern-matching my print for the pocket, and modified for an elastic-back waist.

    My favourite skirt

I realy like how quickly the skirt came together. I enjoyed sewing it very much. I made a view A in size 20 with a little bit of added length as I am 180cm tall and didn’t want it to be very short. For my version I chose blue denim and some quilting cotton with ditsy print as facing for waistband and pockets. I even had fun with bright pink overlocking threads. No can realy see, but I know it is there and it makes me happy. I couldn’t find the right coloured zip for the life of me anywhere, so I didn’t insert it as exposed, but never mind, I already have another version planned, this time view B in viscose twill and already have the zipper prepared for it!

    Very comfortable

I really liked sewing Brumby skirt. Everything lined up and the instructions are great. I liked the zipper insertion method, but i did change the lenght of the zipper and i guess i didn't measure properly and that gave me some trouble with the hight of the waist band. Next time i will figure it out, because there will be a next time. This version was in needlecord corduroy and it turned out amazing for the winter time.

    Brumby skirt

I made this skirt out of this nautical print from my stash. I think with the pockets it makes it look a bit like a balloon skirt when I put it on. The instructions for the zip insertion were easy to follow. Otherwise happy with the make, will make again out of some other fabric from my stash.
