Beautiful fabric and notions

I always love my trips to Megan Nielsen, lovely fabric selection with a good choice of denim and swimwear fabric. Always helpful and very knowledgeable.

Fabulous Cottesloe

This is the first swimming costume I have ever made and it was amazingly easy! I always struggle with purchasing full piece swimsuits as I'm really short (5'1") I graded between sizes (I am a bit of a block shape), shorted the body by 1" and also shortened the straps by 1". My muslin fitted perfectly but I decided to raise the side legs by 1" just to give the illusion of some shape. I sewed most of it on my serger and machine, and then finished it off on my coverstitch machine. I am absolutely delighted with the end result!

Great pattern

I am so pleased with this pattern. The instructions were easy to follow and the fit is fantastic. I really like the low cut of this pattern which suits me in terms of "modesty"
It is also great that the bikini bottoms can be used to make underwear.

I made view A with the shelf bra and back tie and my only (small) concern was that I ended up with a lot of bulk in the seams where I attached the ties. There is quite a noticeable lump on each side so I think when I make another one I might consider not sewing the elastic in the seam allowance.

Love the versatility of this pattern

Bought this after seeing Sable Craft’s remake of the pattern in View D as a loungewear/underwear set, and it’s been phenomenal. Made some minor adjustments to account for changes in fabric and personal preference but overall it’s perfect as is. The instructions are extremely detailed and I appreciated being able to read through the sewalongs for helpful visualization and tips.
