Cottesloe bikini pattern

Was really impressed, just returned to sewing after many years and new to pdf style. Been looking for a bikini with good “coverage” for a mature curvy figure for use on holiday for easy bathroom visits not worn a bikini since my 20’s . It Was an easy sew and a lovely fit, also was very supportive in the water - (was a little concerned it would go baggy when wet but it didn’t - felt confident and covered. The Instructions were excellent and easy to use. Will be making another when I return home for next year. Was made in size 14. In Neon shock activewear jersey from pound fabrics uk.

So surprised!

Up until now, me and stretchy fabrics have not been friends. But I did a lot of reading in preparation - everything I read said how nervous they were to sew a swimsuit, how much easier it was than they thought it would be, and how great the Cottesloe pattern was.
I was stoked with the result! I’ve only made the top so far (view D), but it went so smoothly. I couldn’t be happier at not only completing something I thought was going to be a big gamble, but also improving my sewing skills at the same time.
Could not recommend the Cottesloe, and the sew alongs enough.

So perfect!

I am so-so happy that I decided to sew a swimsuit and that I decided to use this pattern. I made a view B in size 10 from random lycra for my first try. I also added foam cups and shelf bra. The fit is absolutely flawless and gorgeous. Will be definitely making more because it is such a great block pattern and has many ways of customisation and detail adding. Thank You very much for another great pattern!
