Olive is a relaxed silhouette top or dress with v-insert. Pattern features a drop shoulder, multiple sleeve finishes, dress or top variations, and optional breast patch pocket.
View A is a blouse with a v-neck insert and patch pocket. View B is a dress with a v-neck insert, sleeve bands and inseam pockets in the gathered skirt. View C is a blouse with a v-neck insert and long sleeves.

I’ve made one Olive Curve blouse since purchasing the pattern and it’s lovely, really nice fitting and I enjoyed making it, I’m not an experienced sewer by any means but the top came together really well and I’m hoping to make another very soon. I made it in quite a structured cotton and it looks very smart.
I’ve made a couple of the Olive blouses in lightweight linen. They’re easy to make, very comfortable, work with pants or skirts, and have a lovely neckline. As the pattern indicated, the v-neck insert can be “fiddly” to put in, but once you do one, it’s a breeze. I shortened it quite a bit—not to crop-top length, but to high-hip to accentuate my hourglass figure. I also lengthened it about an inch above the waistline since I’m tall. So I probably took off two inches in overall length.
I really enjoyed sewing the olive top in a striped viscose linen. The pattern is ideal of playing with stripes. It’s a fairly quick sew... the only challenging bit being the bottom of the V insert and there are a couple of options for this. I’m at the lower end of the curve size range but have a Very full bust and the curve pattern fits really nicely with no adjustment. I’m now planing a couple more!
What I really love about this pattern is how many variations you can make from it - there are some wonderful ideas on the blog. I'm going to use it as my basic pattern for the summer and make as many styles out of it as I can. I love that it doesn't have darts, but I'm taking one star off as I'm not sure about the fit in the bust/armscye area. I'm in the lower range of the Curve range so I'll try sizing down and see if that works better. One Olive down, many more to go!
