Great pattern!

I like the fitting tips & the options for different kinds of jeans from a single pattern, but most of all, I love the instructions! I wish all pattern instructions were half as clear. Thank you for another awesome product. My jeans no longer strain, push & pull where they shouldn’t!

Amazing pattern for experienced beginners!

This is my first fitted trouser pattern, and I’m so blown away by the fit and style. The finishing details (like all the topstitching) we’re daunting, but made a huge difference in the final product. I made the wide leg pant, and they’re a perfect dupe for popular wide leg cropped pants (like everlanes!)

First time jeans maker!

Wow! I did it!! I started learning to sew about a year or so ago - watching YouTube. T shirts were my start and progressing to (a month or so ago) a jumpsuit. Everything I have made has been way too big for me and I can’t wear. I decided to try jeans … but was going to size down. After looking at patterns and trying to buy Dawn for a few months (turns out my international bank limit was set too low) I finally got my pattern. I procrastinated for ages before taking the plunge. WHAT A PLEASURE! The only hiccups I had was my machine not taking topstitch thread so I used regular, the waistband not fitting the pants so I sized up on my 4th cut out and it fit perfectly…. And then trying to do a button hole on my old Elna. The button hole, in my humble opinion, is the only part of the jeans that looks bad but no one will see it so I don’t care! I made jeans, y’all!!!! And they FIT!!!!
A shout out to MN for awesome pattern drafting and instructions that were mostly perfect. (Again: waistband instructions I struggled with as pictures didn’t show me where to sew to, but that’s a novice sewist issue and I got it right in the end). I have a new respect for pattern makers.

Perfect Jeans Pattern!

I've made two pairs off this pattern. I'm an experienced seamstress but this is the first time I've made jeans! I made a pair of wide leg crops first, with some minor pattern adjustments based on my measurements (grade between sizes waist to hip). Came out very well! I made several more fine-tuning adjustments before making a second pair, this time the tapered style. I always end up making a sway-back alteration: lower back waistline, raise front. The other tweak I made was to cut the crotch seam/upper inseam a bit deeper, maybe a half inch total extra in the crotch and thigh. Overall an excellent pattern that I anticipate using many times!
