I guess it’s monday already…

Gosh what a tiring weekend! We spent most of the time trying to get things all really for our little boy, in case he arrives early. I can’t believe how long it took to get the nursery all cleaned up. It’s amazing to me how a few months of not being used could result in so much dust! Thankfully now it’s all perfect and instead of being full of all of Bunny’s old clothing and things, it’s starting to get filled up with little boy stuff. Too adorable! And the really cool part is it’s making it all feel so real! I really don’t think he’ll be early, but anyone who knows me well knows I’m an organisational freak, and a total panicker – so being totally ready 4 weeks early is an absolute necessity for my sanity!

This scarf is one of my recent crochet experiments. My mom taught me to crochet when I was a kid, but like most kids I didn’t pay attention beyond learning the very basics, and now that I’m older I’d really like to get into crocheting and knitting again. So I bought myself some instructional books and have been working through all the exercises. Of course like anything, now that I’m actually paying better attention to it, I’m shocked by how much can be done with crochet. Anyway, this was a very simple project, but I wanted to do something small just to get my hands used to the feeling again. I’m not 100% thrilled with it, but it’s passable! The one thing I am happy with is that instead of closing up the ends of the scarf to make it a cowl permanently, I sewed buttons on one end. Which means now I can button it up at any point along the scarf to get a different look. Fun!
